McFarlane Toys’ Fortnite line is back for 2020! Starting off the year we have two very visually striking designs in Skully and Vendetta. I’ll take a look at Vendetta later, but I really wanted to mess around with Skully because the larger scale Fortnite lines (from both McFarlane and Jazwares) have generally been stingy on the females.
Right off the bat, what a lovely action figure! The color scheme is just so pretty and her paint applications are super sharp. This legitimately may be one of the best non-masked human faces in the line thus far, which gives me high hopes for what we see in 2020! Hopefully Toy Fair will be good to us this weekend!
She has some moderate heels but it doesn’t hinder her ability to stand. The articulation scheme is the standard build for McFarlane’s Fortnite line, and really now most of their toys have moved to it as well. The arms and shoulders have great for posing with the gun or harvesting tool. All in all, a very nice action figure and an excellent addition to the Fortnite collection.
In-game, Skully was originally offered just a little over a year ago on February 14, 2109, Valentine’s Day. The skin shows up in a fairly regular rotation and costs 1,200 V-Bucks. There is also an alternate color palette called “Heart Style” which could easily be done as a variant if they changed the paint and sculpted a heart for her leg.
Back Bling: Skully Satchel
Harvesting Tool: Skully Splitter
